The Broadcom MASTERS Showcase featured a panel of Orange County's most talented young individuals...

The OCSEF Broadcom MASTERS Showcase featured highly talented guests Sahar Khashayar, Caroline Edmonds, Keoni Gandall, and Anna Lou, all former Broadcom MASTERS finalists from Orange County. Ms. Khashayar won the $10,000 Marconi/Samueli Award for Innovation at the 2014 Broadcom MASTERS. Ms. Edmonds was a member of the White Team, who were awarded with the 2014 Broadcom MASTERS Team Award. Mr. Gandall earned first-place honors in science at the 2013 Broadcom MASTERS. Ms. Lou won the the 2011 and 2012 Junior Sweepstake awards at OCSEF. They shared personal experiences in middle school science fair research and the Broadcom MASTERS competition.

Our keynote speaker was Ms. Prasanthi Sathyaprakash, from Broadcom Foundation and the Co-president of the OCSEF Board of Directors.


More about Broadcom MASTERS...

Broadcom MASTERS (Math, Applied Science, Technology, and Engineering Rising Stars) is the premier middle school science and engineering competition. Affiliated science fairs nationwide nominate the top 10% of middle school students to enter this prestigious competition. 300 semifinalists are selected, and out of these, 30 finalists are selected to present their projects, as well as meet the President, in Washington, D.C. The OCSEF will nominate 60 projects to participate in the 2015 Broadcom MASTERS.
